I know I know, I think I draw far too many chibis. XD;;; BUT, this idea was so cute/cool/funny!
I drew this as a thank you gift to a guy in my Japanese Civilization class, because he printed out all of our readings for me after hearing me complain about how much money it was costing me to print them out at the computer lab (our printer here is teh busted). So I just felt like I had to do something as thanks, and then I got the great idea to try drawing a Kabuki type character!
I actually had to draw this lil guy like three times before he finally came out looking not scary. XD;; And then it took a really long time to decide on what colors/patterns I wanted to draw on his costume.
And it turned into this whole hodgepodge of colors and patterns. XD;; But it worked out ok, ya?
Although the sakura blossoms on his sleeves look like sea stars.. I blame my Marine Biology class. XD Oh ya, and the obi design actually was inspired/borrowed from one of Nao's (Kagrra) kimonos. XD; Oh! And for his makeup, I didn't really follow a particular design, so if it's not accurate, that's why. ^^
But yesh, he liked it a lot so I was happy. ^^ And I really like the way he came out too!
