Artist's Comments
This was drawn for my co-worker and his wife, who are amazingly generous and gave me their old guitar ( i think he said it's a Fender Squire? ) they rarely use anymore! FOR NOTHING! D: FREE GUITAR FTW!!!! So yeah all I need to is to get a small amp and I can began slowly teaching myself to play haha.
ANYWAY, so yeah, I couldn't just not give them anything in return, so I offered to draw something, and I was mildly surprised when my co-worker asked for Rei and Asuka from Evangelion. XD Apparently his wife is a HUGE fan of it, and since it was actually her guitar he asked me to draw them for her. He was also highly amused later when I asked him if he wanted them in their plug suits or school uniforms or something totally different.. said it was the best question he'd ever been asked.. I guess it does sound kinda weird. XD "Plugsuits, school uniform, or something random?" XDD But yeah.. while trying to think of poses, I kept saying "I don't want to over sexualize them! They're only 14 after all!" ... then I was like "WTH am I talking about? They're already overly sexualized. -.-" But yeah, even with that in mind.. I apparently still couldn't draw sexy 14 year olds since they didn't come out looking 14 at all. XDDD Which is better I guess? Anyhoo, I'm really pleased with how this came out overall. <3 I had a lot of fun drawing Rei and Asuka after so long.. it's been forever since I've done any Eva art. I only wish the scanner would miraculously stop eating my pictures.  Random: I really want to see the new Eva movies. ><  Done with prisma color pencils and white ink |
